"DEEDS MAKE A MAN GREAT"

Rana Vishwa Pratap Singh (DILIP KUMAR) a 65 years old, humanist is a strong and honest jailor who believes in the philosophy of criminal reformation and transforming them into a National force.
One day, a Mafia Cheif and the Leader of World Terrorist Organisation, Dr. Dang (ANUPAM KHER) is brought into his Jail for custody and that leads to a few strong confrontations between Rana and the Mafia Chief who challenges him that he will escape from his Jail.
And Dr. Dang succeeds in staging a spectacular Jail break in Rana's absence leaving it ablaze with 480 dead prisoners and officers and Rana's family into ashes.
Following his own beliefs and methods, Rana plans a secret mission employing three prisoners (JACKIE, ANIL & NASEERUDDIN) convicted for Death Sentence and brings them to a village near the border in disguise of Forest Officers - They all stay with Rana's Ex-Prisoner Dharma (DARA SINGH) an innocent farmer who is unaware that his younger brother Jolly (SHAKTI KAPOOR) is one of Dr. Dang's aides and the killer of Rana's sons.
Two of the three criminals are reluctant to become commandos as per Rana's mission and prefer the easy life of drinking, fighting and loving the beautiful village girls (SRI DEVI & POONAM DHILLON). But a moment comes when they realise the seriousness of the mission when Rana saves their lives by taking bullets of the enemy into his chest.
Rana survives - But they realise .... They realise their promises...
They realise the sacrifice of a patriot Rana.... They realise their duties i.e. KARMA
AND they vow to destroy Dr. Dang and his computerised Terrorist Camp.... Now it is their only obsession....
Success is theirs but the Price is High to be paid unstintingly and valiantly.
The heroes came back with success....... but not all of them.....?
One of the most electrifying battles brought on the silver screen in such a spectacular, sensitive and inimitable style by none other than Subhash Ghai - the Producer-Director of many Silver, Golden and Platinum Jubilees.....
And now he brings to you a colossal spectacle "KARMA" in 70 M.M. Stereophonic Sound.
